Does the open source version support the "for pay" rulebase files or would I have to use the pre-compiled binary you provide with the rulebase file?

The open source version is identical to the binary version -- the binary version is compiled from the provided source code using MinGW.

The SNF software can be modified, recompiled, and redistributed under the Artistic License or under a commercial license if you are have an appropriate OEM or VAR relationship with us.

If you are modifying the SNF software you should take special care not to interfere with the collaborative learning systems or pattern scanning engine in any way that will make it incompatible with our services -- or, they won't work (of course).

The rulebase file is produced as a for-pay service along with ongoing support, product development, and collaborative learning systems access.

Once upon a time we distributed a kind of trial rulebase (and then later a technology demonstrator rulebase) along with the SNF software. Now we simply provide fully functional 30 day trials of our service. This question originated before we started offering fully functional trials.
