snf2check.exe is a utility to check the rulebase file from download. The snf2check utility (found in the distribution file) will validate the rulebase file for you before you rotate it into service so that you can avoid problems with a corrupted rulebase.

You do not need to rename the snf2check.exe file. Keep snf2check.exe as it is. It will pick up the license ID from the command line when you pass it the file name to be checked.
